Edward V. Fritzky:

Fritzky was elected chief executive officer and chairman of Immunex Corp. in January 1994. Previously, he served successively as vice president and president of Lederle Laboratories, a division of American Cyanamid. Before his tenure with Lederle, Fritzky was president and general manager of Searle Canada Inc. and Lorex Pharmaceuticals, a joint venture company. Fritzky also served at Searle as vice president of marketing in the United States. He is on the board of directors for SonoSite Corp., Geron Corp. and the Pacific Science Center and is chairman of the Technology Alliance. Fritzky holds a bachelor's degree from Duquesne University and is a graduate of the Advanced Executive Program, J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. In June 1988, Fritzky was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Duquesne University.
